Example project review workflow
This is one example of how a team can combine Di.BlueConnector’s workflows. A reviewer works in Bluebeam Revu, while a modeler or coordinator uses Autodesk Forma and Revit. The workflows can also be used separately, with new or existing projects and Sessions.
Prepare the project and review documents
1. Connect the required accounts, then use Management in Di.BlueConnector to create an ACC project.
2. In Revit and Autodesk Forma, create the deliverable Revit cloud model in that project, develop the design, and publish or upload the sheets and PDFs for review. Model authoring and publishing take place in those Autodesk applications.
3. Return to Management and create a Bluebeam Studio Project or Session in the connected region. Use a Session for the ACC issue workflow below.
4. Use File Transfers to select the ACC documents or sheets and transfer them to the new Bluebeam Studio Project or Session.
Route A Return reviewed PDFs to ACC
1. Open the PDF from the Studio Project or Session in Bluebeam Revu, add the review markups, and save or synchronise the changes to Studio.
2. In File Transfers, select the reviewed PDF on the Bluebeam side and transfer it back to the required ACC location. The team can now review the marked-up document in ACC.
Route B Resolve Session markups as ACC issues
1. Before review begins, open Markup-Issue Sync and create a configuration. Select the Bluebeam Session and PDF, the ACC hub and project, the issue type and the corresponding Revit cloud model. Map the PDF pages to the model’s sheets.
2. Click Save setup, then Start watching. Keep the Di.BlueConnector browser tab open while the configuration runs.
3. The reviewer adds markups in the Bluebeam Studio Session. The running configuration tracks them. Enable Auto-create issues to convert them automatically, or leave it off and create issues from the individual or selected markups you want to act on.
4. The resulting ACC issues are available in Autodesk Forma’s web Issues section. The modeler or coordinator opens the same cloud model in Revit and uses Autodesk’s Issues tools to select an issue, review its details, comment and thumbnail, and navigate to the mapped sheet and pin.
5. Correct the model, then update or close the ACC issue in the Issues tools, subject to your permissions. The Sync status to Bluebeam feature Coming soon will return the mapped status to the corresponding Session markup while the configuration is watching.
Route A returns the review as a PDF. Route B links review comments to issues that the team can locate, resolve and track through Revit and Bluebeam.
